Pattern-Product Developer (Technical Focus)
As a Pattern-Product Developer, you will bring your expertise in CAD programming and technical pattern-making to support our made-to-measure products. This role differs from traditional pattern-making positions by focusing on programming patterns through alterations and calculations, rather than creative drafting. You will play a pivotal role in implementing and leading the integration of a new CAD software into our company’s workflow, providing hands-on training and technical guidance to peers, and collaborating closely with our IT team to optimize processes.
You will:
Develop, modify, and program patterns for our made-to-measure products through CAD software (Gerber/Assyst) using technical programming and back-end adjustments, in addition to traditional drafting methods.
Lead the integration of Assyst CAD software within the company, ensuring a smooth transition and full utilization of its features.
Train and mentor peers on best practices in CAD programming and technical pattern development, fostering a culture of learning and precision.
Ensure that patterns and programming align with company standards for quality, fit, and consistency across all made-to-measure garments.
Identify and address any issues or improvements related to the CAD system and pattern development processes.
Collaborate with our ateliers and Product Team to maintain high product quality, focusing on workmanship, clear instructions, and any necessary technical adjustments.
Work closely with our Senior Management Team to provide technical input on both pattern and system-related aspects for the realization of new product ideas.
You will ideally have:
A strong background in technical pattern development with a focus on CAD programming, preferably within a made-to-measure environment.
Proficiency in Assyst and/or similar CAD software, with an aptitude for learning and adapting new systems.
A passion for technical precision and an interest in approaching pattern development from a data-driven, programming-oriented perspective.
Experience in developing measurement charts, technical instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for production.
A proven ability to maintain effective communication with factories, addressing both current and new product developments.
Skills in organizing and leading fittings with all relevant departments to ensure product fit and functionality.
The ability to develop technical trims, tailored to sales and market requirements.
