About the job

As a Junior Logistics Coordinator, you will support the (Senior) Logistics Coordinator and Logistics Manager in managing all administrative duties related to shipments and implementing process improvements. You will play a crucial role in optimizing our logistics operations, ensuring smooth and efficient shipment processes, and maintaining accurate documentation.

In this role, you will:

  •  Assist the (Senior) Logistics Coordinator and Logistics Manager in all administrative duties related to our shipments and implementing process improvements.

  • Participate in optimization projects to improve operational efficiency.

    - Assist in analysing current processes and help design and implement new, more efficient processes.

    - Contribute to optimizing outward processing compliance.

    - Analyse cost data to identify potential savings.

  • Ensure accurate documentation and archiving of shipping documents.

  • Prepare and manage all documentation for export and import.

  • Plan and coordinate in and outbound shipments. 

  • Track orders and deliveries to ensure timely arrival.

  • Manually register shipments with courier services weekly.

  • Liaise with suppliers, forwarders and manufacturers regarding orders and shipping.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for external parties for the export of materials and import of end products.

  • Monitor and approve transport invoices.

  • Support administrative tasks like invoicing, booking, and tracking shipments.

About you

For this role, you should be/have:

  • An MBO/HBO degree in logistic, Supply Chain or a related study

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in logistics or administrative role

  • A flexible, hands-on approach with a positive, can-do mindset and an eye for detail

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written), preferably fluent in Dutch

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Driven, socially competent, flexible, and proactive
