Buying Administrator
Working on the suppliers’ own collections, and the customer’s own fabric orders, you will:
Maintain relationships with high-end European suppliers and mills;
Plan & maintain the seasonal release of fabric & lining additions per supplier;
Define the best-matching trims for fabrics (e.g. thread, lining, undercollar felt);
Import fabrics and linings into our PDM system;
Arrange distribution of fabric & lining bunches and follow-up on invoicing;
Maintain the archive of cut-to-length fabric and lining books;
Negotiate material prices and assure prices are up-to-date;
Check and maintain material stock availability in system;
Track buying volume and complaints per supplier on a regular basis;
Process orders with customer-own fabrics on a weekly basis;
Support COS team with material related questions.
You will ideally have:
A bachelor’s degree in fashion or a related study (HBO level);
2 or 3 years experience in a similar position;
Experience with men’s formalwear and textile knowledge is a plus;
An optimistic, flexible mindset;
A strong eye for detail and affinity with organizing;
Solutions-oriented, hands-on and structured approach;
The ability to work independently and with a team, to strict deadlines;
Strong communication skills;
Good spoken and written English;
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
